Syria's reconstruction is being announced project by project. Who is tracking what it does to the market?
Since 2025, a wave of large developments has been announced: new residential districts, business towers, tourism projects, and the Damascus Metro. Headlines are easy to find. Verified information on where these projects are, what stage they have reached, and what is happening to property prices around them is not.
مؤشر tracks major projects and the property market around them:
- A curated map of major projects. Each project has its location, category and status (signed, launched, on sale), and every entry is backed by an official source. Projects reported only by the media are held back until they are confirmed.
- Prices before and after each announcement. For each project, we compare asking prices in nearby neighbourhoods with the rest of the city, over the months before and after the announcement.
- Careful wording. We report an observed difference with its margin of uncertainty, not a claimed "impact", so you get evidence you can defend rather than hype.
